10th Edition Final
Substantive changes to the 9th Edition:
I.D. Event Organizers expanded with a defined role in the rules.
II. Definitions: (was clarifying statements) expanded definitions. Added or changed:
- State of the disc-this is to simplify future versions.
- Pivot is redefined more completely.
- Legitimate position defined further.

III. Field of play
- Field description now includes the brick marks.
IV. Equipment
- Equipment can't be used to affect disc or other players.
V. Length of game
- Game to time deleted
- Standard game-to-points defined as a game to 15.

VI. Time-outs
- Place disc at location of TO.
- Total length 90 seconds
- offense set by 70 seconds
- Defense checks in disc within 20 more seconds
- Equipment TO added.Play can be stopped only if there is hazardous or illegal equipment.
- 2 timeouts per half defined as standard
- Timeouts between points is addressed
- Added injury timeout call for an open wound
VIII. Starting and Restarting play
- The new pull rule is included
- Standards for assessing points included

- Time limits added between pulls
- Added offensive and defensive self checks to cover situations when no offensive or defensive player present to check in disc.
IX. In & Out-of-bounds
- Contradictions removed.
- An OB defensive player touching the disc does not make the disc OB
- An offensive player leaving from in-bounds can affect the placement of disc on an out-of-bounds turnover.
XI. Scoring
- Callahan goal added
- Tipped pass caught by thrower a legal goal.
XII. Turnovers
- Assisted movement or use of equipment to affect disc is a turnover.
XIII. The Thrower.
- Must put disc into play within time limits (10 or 20 seconds)
- Location of pivot defined under more circumstances
- Travelling is also moved to this section and is defined more explicitly.
XIV. The Marker
- Marker may not restrict the throw and pivot with extended arms and legs. Arm to throwing arm contact is aa foul on the marker.
- Marker may not count beyond 3 meter radius.
- Guidelines for resumption of count in all circumstances included in this section.

XV. The Reciever
- All uncontested force-out of the endzone fouls are goals whether the result is landing OB or the playing field proper.
XVI. Violations and Fouls
- Fouls away from play stop play but do not change outcome of play.
- Continuation rule reworded to eliminate contradictions
- Added a blocking fouls to define pick-like impedence fouls.
- Strips handled like fouls with no play-on.
- Picks moved to this section With addition of blocking fouls, this rule now includes a 3 meter proximity requirement.

- Double team moved to XIV The Marker
