Howdy! Christy Doyon and I are organizing a half-day tournament in Loveland on Sunday, February 14th! It is a charity tournament, and the proceeds will go toward supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County. Entry fee is $10 per person, but spots are limited! Participants may register as a 3-men-2-women team, but a cap will be set at 30 men and 20 women for the tourney. So apply early! This is an Indoor tournament, and will be played on a basketball court, so the ruleset will be adjusted accordingly. Essentially, it ends up playing like a game of Hot Box, minus the make-it-take-it rule. After a goal, the scoring team drops the disc, and the other team picks it up and plays. The games will be to 5, and will be played 3-on-3. Teams will consist of three men and two women, which will allow for a sub for both genders -and- a decent gender mix. There will be prizes, food (no alcohol... c'mon, gotta set a good example!), and plenty of distractions (in the form of several ping-pong, foosball, air hockey, and pool tables in the next room)!
