If you have never sanctioned an event and you don't know where to start, don't worry.  The site has all of the information you need and you can contact the Outreach Director with any questions.

Most people sanction because they want  to host an event affiliated with the national governing body, they need insurance coverage, or a combination of other factors.  The best place to start is with the Sanctioning Guidelines link on the main sanctioning page.  There you will find information critical to organizers who want to run a UPA sanctioned event.

In a nutshell, you should:

• Review the sanctioning guidelines
• Complete the sanctioning application and return it to the UPA with the deposit
