UPA Observer Clinics
In 2010 the UPA will continue to offer Observer Training Clinics. Held in strategic locations throughout the country, clinics will be used to train and certify Observers using UPA standards for officiating in Ultimate.

These two-day clinics will include discussion of the Observer Code of Conduct, officiating philosophies, and officiating mechanics as well as skills and drills and game-time experience. Participants will have the opportunity to become UPA-Certified Observers, following completion of specific requirements including a real-game evaluation and demonstrated knowledge of rules and Observer mechanics. Clinics will be organized in conjunction with Ultimate events and will be taught by UPA Observer Program trainers.

The following clinics are planned for 2010 and will be held based on clinic sign-ups and coordination with event logistics. Please email the appropriate contact for a clinic to confirm its status and to sign up. Space in each clinic will be limited due to the individual attention necessary to properly train and evaluate potential observers.
