TEAM HISTORY/SEASON RECAP
This year, University of Iowa's Saucy Nancy is making its second appearance at Nationals, hoping to improve on last year's tenth-place finish. Having lost a number of key players, Saucy returns with a slimmer yet sleeker roster (with only twelve players at Regionals, Saucy was outnumbered two-to-one by rivals Carleton and Madison). What Saucy lacks in numbers, it makes up for in heart and talent! This year Saucy competed at Mardi Gras, Centex, and Collegiates, with a season record of 24 wins and 8 losses. The team boasts twelve veterans and two rookies, including the fastest woman in college Ultimate (as determined at the fastest woman race at Centex). Saucy Nancy was founded in 1993, but has only risen to prominence in the Central region in the last four years. We are a fun-loving team that works hard to challenge and make champions out of one another. We look forward to testing ourselves against other elite college teams at Nationals 2004!
