TEAM HISTORY/SEASON RECAP
You ever get that feeling that you're always just that close to greatness, but it slips away? I do. Like at practice, when I see the girl I'm totally crushing on walking past us in the park and I bust deep and lay out for the score so she can see me and think "Nice bid, I think I'll give him my phone number." But I miss the disc by just that much and I know she's not impressed, so I join a Megadeth cover band, and when I'm up on stage singing '99 Ways to Die' I'm looking right at her, but she covers her ears and walks out the door. So then what? I've done everything I can. Or have I? We're 3-10 this year versus teams that qualified for Nationals. Only way to turn that around is to bust our humps and keep running and throwing and knowing we'll progress just that much in the weeks leading up to this holiest of tournaments. And it will happen. We owe NC State a good game and it was fun to scare the daylights out of Colorado and Stanford, and we want our $1000 back from Wisconsin. We're that close, and it's time to take the next step; if you-know-who strolls by, I'm catching that disc on a sick layout and making out with her in the end zone. Bam, it's 12-12 and we're about to make our run at you. Superpowers beware: IHUC is that team.
