TEAM HISTORY/SEASON RECAP

Princess Layout is making its first appearance at Nationals. Begun in 1994 with nothing more than a cool name and a dream of world domination, Princess has suddenly become a force to be reckoned with, winning the ENE Section, and finishing second at Yale Cup and NE Regionals. What is different about this year? Did a sponsorship from Joseph Farms Cheese give us the protein we so badly needed? Was our cheer for WHUFO's mom so raunchy that it tore the fabric of the universe? Did we forget not to chase our drinks with whiskey? Whatever it may be, Princess is savoring the taste of a Nationals bid the way we savor bananas after a tough game.

This spring's journey to Nationals started at the Stanford Invite, where lush grass and warm sun inspired us to condition and practice through the subzero New Hampshire winter. We toughened ourselves with mandatory Astroturf layout practice, naked dogsled racing, and facility scheduler Jedi mind tricks. After a slow start at Southerns and Easterns, Princess' offense, defense, and team unity finally clicked. Led by stellar handling and backed up by a tenacious zone and man defense, we ironed out our early mistakes and took New England by storm. Despite our intense play, we've never forgotten how much fun ultimate is; Princess Layout looks forward to showing the best teams in the nation the spirit and skill that got us to Seattle.

The force? It's with us. Bananas? Go. Cheese? We like.
