How they got here:
2nd in Southwest Region
Offense: There's absolutely nothing wrong with their offense. All their players pose major deep threats especially on zone. They handle with accuracy and are confident that their deep players will catch the disc. They mostly go for the deep game, but the best thing about Kali is that they're smart and if the deep throw isn't there, they look for in cuts. It seems as though all their players have been trained by an Olympic coach that specializes in sprints because they are lightning fast!
Defense: They rely on their speed in defense, which is very effective. They're always ready to get layout blocks and give their all for the d. Against less experienced teams, i noticed that they weren't as aggressive on defense, but still intimidating enough to know when the other team would mess up. At that point, they'd make an amazing score with their unstoppable offense.
As a team Colorado is very versatile and athletic. They try going deep alot with long throws. They often struggled with the quick transition from offense to defense. There are two handlers that seem considerably more comfortable and experienced, making alot of short cuts and doing give-and-gos. They are a perfect match for San Diego.
