SMITe is proud to represent the New England Region at this year's college nationals. Finishing first in their region for the second straight year, this is sMITe's fourth national appearance in 6 years.
SMITe is composed of a strong core of veterans who made it to the semifinals of last year's national tournament as well as 9 rookies. Unlike the teams of past years, which have gone to tournaments with few to no subs, this year's team sometimes brings enough people to field three lines.
During this season, sMITe has experienced marked improvement. Due to the long winter in New England this year, we were forced to begin their outdoor season unusually late at College Easterns. Our first three northeastern tournaments were cancelled. After their ninth place finish at Easterns in Wilmington, NC, sMITe returned to the New England region and hasn't lost a game since. We are looking forward to a weekend with good spirit, great competition and lots of fun.
