Kali's spring 2003 season began with a patch of horrible weather. They then faced a period of nasty weather, some fairly wretched weather, and then a seemingly endless blustering dreariness. And then there was the blizzard. Despite the brutal conditions, however, Kali has managed to put together an exciting season of ultimate. Unable to practice outside for much of the early part of the semester, Kali traveled to President's Day still a little raw and unpolished. Some big plays by a strong veteran starting line were not enough to ensure victory, but they did glimpse the potential that was waiting to be revealed. Clicking together with ever greater ease, Kali had a significantly stronger presence at Easterns. They returned home with the fire to push each other all the harder, excited to explore the potential they were still just beginning to see. At Regionals Kali improved noticeably yet again, easily dispatching most of their opponents and fighting several intense and memorable battles with the regional champions. Kali has continued to improve at practice, with rookies stepping up with breakthrough plays and vets constantly finding new ways to amaze each other with their passion and skill. Now that the weather seems to be establishing itself as a mere annoyance instead of an adversary, there's no telling how far Kali could go.
